- Q: Where can i use Oxid ?
- A: Oxid is a multi-platform IRC client. In particular, Oxid is running actually under all UNIX operating system (if there are the GNU tools and compilers) like Linux, *BSD, MacOS X, ... and under Microsoft Windows.
- Q: What is needed to use Oxid ?
- A: To use Oxid, you will need all the libraries used by the program (pthread,dynamic link loader, and ncurses or Gtk or Qt or Win32 API).
- Q: Can i add some functionalities to Oxid ?
- A: Of course ! Like other important IRC clients, you can write scripts or plugins to your client. To do that, you have two solutions : write a script in one of these languages : Perl, TCL, Python, mIRC pseudo-script language. The second solution is to write a plugin in C or C++ : generate a dynamic library (ie. under windows, it's called a dll).
